Clinical psychology service for adults with a learning disability

We offer a clinical psychology service for adults with a learning disability in the Calderdale area. We offer a range of assessments and interventions for people with a variety of problems. For example, they may feel unhappy, angry or have problems in relationships. They may have behaviours which cause concern for those caring for them.

According to the nature of the problem we work with individuals, their families and carers, using a range of specialist psychological techniques. This might include counselling, one-to-one sessions or psychological assessments from our specialist team.

Why would someone choose the service

We aim to offer people an appointment soon after they have been referred to the service. Clients will always be seen by the same psychologist. All of our staff are highly qualified and have extensive experience of working with people with a learning disability.

We offer an accessible and welcoming service, which is based around the needs of individual clients and their carers, and aim to support clients to fulfil their potential and live well in their local community.
