Day services (Red Laithes Court)
We provide day services for people with learning disabilities who have a wide range of support needs. Our team operate from six Kirklees Council run community centres across north Kirklees. We work closely with physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, dieticians and psychologists to make sure that the needs of people accessing our service are met in any way possible. We encourage people to be as independent and in control of their lives as possible.
We offer a wide range of activities, including:
- horse carriage-driving
- barge trips
- rebound therapy
- trips to concerts, museums, art galleries and cinema
We encourage people to take part in as many activities as possible depending on their interests. Artwork produced by our service users is regularly exhibited to the local community.
For people with more complex needs we have registered nurses and trained staff who provide support and advice. Our main aim is to help people make their own choices and promote independence to enable them to live well in their community.
