Creative therapy sessions is a 12 month project which will work with men, women and children who have suffered from or witnessed domestic abuse. The sessions will be delivered with an aim to enable those in the group to share their voice through creative activities. The activities will be based on themes including personal safety, self-esteem and identity loss and will use clay, stones, art materials and toys.
The project will provide a personal creative space in a safe environment which will encourage discussion and expression of thoughts and feelings through creative therapies. The sessions will build on relationships and encourage social integration whilst allow giving those involved the confidence to share their experiences in a creative way.
