DJ workshops sessions are now available for people in the Trust’s Forensic service at Newton Lodge in Wakefield.
Available to those on the Waterton ward currently, the sessions are delivered as part of the drop in activities and on a 1:1 basis. People are encouraged to partake in the sessions as a new source of expression – through which they’ll have the opportunity to create something unique and individual to them.
Taking part in the workshops is a great opportunity for service users to build their communication and interaction skills while taking part in an activity in partnership with staff and their peers. They can also set realistic goals through the workshops – experience achievement of these, receive feedback from others and then share this accomplishment with others.
Similar workshops that have been offered through forensic services have resulted in a number of successful outcomes and we’re hoping to embrace the learning from these activities, to further develop the DJ workshops.
