This project gives people the space to be creative in a homely environment, which is safe, relaxed and stimulating. Clients will have the opportunity to eat homemade soup and bread while reading prose or poems and talking about the pieces which have been selected by group members. The prose or poetry will be based on themes brought to the group by group members. Soup for the soul will encourage mental health service users to participate in writing and reading for health. Service users will be empowered by choosing the prose and poems and the themes to write about.
The group will then bring their selection of written work together to make an eBook to sell online.
