Project outline
This project is to support Asian extended families in Halifax suffering from socio-economic deprivation, discrimination and disadvantage including mental and physical health issues. The focus is on those suffering from drugs and substance misuse to improve quality of life through engagement in activities addressing vulnerability. Activities include practical engagement in healthier lifestyles, sport, gardening, arts and workshop based learning and participation, using brief focus therapy to discuss actions, consequences, support and alternatives, so people are more informed on making right choices to improve mental and physical health and well-being through co-production and joint ownership.
