Involvement
We are committed to providing the best possible care for people who use our services, their carers, relatives and friends. By involving you and seeking your opinions, we can better understand your needs and tailor our services to you.
Involvement is about sharing your views and ideas and there are lots of different ways you can do this such as:
- Taking part in an ongoing involvement group for the service you or your loved one uses
- Helping to provide training for staff or developing information for other carers and service users
- Joining one-off projects, such as planning or evaluating a service
- Completing surveys and questionnaires
Membership
Another great way to get involved is to join us as a member of our Foundation Trust. Our members ensure that our services are developed so that they best meet local needs. A member can vote in elections for our Members’ Council, will be invited to special events and will receive our Trust magazine Like minds to keep up to date on all our latest news.
When you join as a member you also get to tell us if you have a special interest in any particular service. We will then work with you to understand how you may want to be involved in giving views that will help us develop services and we will work with you to ensure we engage with you and involve you in a way that is beneficial to both the Trust and to you.
