Safeguarding adults
We are South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s safeguarding adult team. We offer support to Wakefield, Barnsley, Kirklees and Calderdale inpatient and community staff, service users and carers.
The Trust is committed to safeguarding adults and works in partnership with a range of other agencies to ensure appropriate actions are taken locally to protect adults at risk of abuse.
The Trust follows a multi-agency procedure for responding to adults at risk of abuse or harm. This means we have an agreement where organisations work together with the person who we think may be abused, to safeguard that person and take what actions we can.
