Apprenticeships & employability

Apprenticeships (New recruits) – ages 16-25+

In conjunction with Barnsley College the Trust offers 15 month fixed term contracts, paid inline with the national apprenticeship rate. Apprentices undertake level 2 qualifications in a variety of subject areas including business administration and health and social care. Delivery to learners is over 4 days a week work based and 1 day a week is allocated to undertake the function skills and technical certificate.

A work based assessor is assigned and a programme of training is designed.

Employability schemes and projects

Support is provided to individuals who may require extra help to get into or back into work, by providing support and placement opportunities.

The Trust works in partnership with:

Working in partnership the recruitment team assists Trust managers and individual participants to coordinate employability placement opportunities.

The team have supported schemes such as Positive Action Training, Future Jobs Fund and Work programmes.
