With over 200 years of NHS service between them, staff in South Kirklees, from the South West Yorkshire Mental Health NHS Trust, have been congratulated on their long service at a special event.

At a ceremony held at St Luke’s Hospital, Huddersfield, 8 members of staff received certificates and gifts in recognition of their hard work over the years.

Staff from a wide variety of services, both clinical and support services, were presented with a gift and certificate by Judith Young, chief executive and Sukhdev Sharma, chairman.

Sukhdev said, ‘It is a privilege to be able to thank these staff personally for their hard work and commitment. The NHS, and our Trust, is built upon the achievements and dedication of our staff and we are very proud of all of them’.

Judith added, ‘I was delighted to meet these dedicated members of staff from our Trust. People who use our mental health and learning disability services, and their families and carers, receive the best possible care available thanks to these dedicated professionals who work in a variety of roles.’
