Trust thanks long serving NHS staff in North Kirklees

With 132 years of NHS service between them, five staff from South West Yorkshire Mental Health Trust in North Kirklees have been congratulated at a special event.

Their hard work and dedication was recognised at an event at Fieldhead, Wakefield where they received certificates and gift vouchers.

The North Kirklees staff who received their awards, which mark 25 years or more NHS service, work in a variety of services and roles across Dewsbury and Batley. They include a community psychiatric nurse, a sister RMN and an activity co-ordinator.

Trust Chairman Sukhdev Sharma who presented the awards said, "I am very proud of the dedication and commitment of all these staff. Their hard work helps our Trust provide the highest quality of care for people with mental health problems and learning disabilities. I am very privileged to meet and personally thank all these members of staff for their years of long service, to both our Trust and the NHS,"
