Qualification success at Fieldhead

Date:

People with learning disabilities have shown that they know their stuff after achieving special qualifications in food safety and hygiene. A unique presentation was held at the Horizon Centre at Fieldhead and assistant director of learning disability services Tim Breedon was on hand to present the certificates.

Ben Beckitt and Leanne Rowland both gained a level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering which took them over 12 weeks to complete. Since gaining their new qualification they have both secured employment in a café, and are thrilled with their achievements.

Joanne Townsend gained a qualification in Food Safety and Good Practice at Home, and June Perry, Linda Thwaite and Lewis Land earned their certificates for taking the Food Hygiene Refresher Course.

During the presentation Tim congratulated everyone on their successes saying, ‘I am delighted to be here to celebrate these achievements. You have all done incredibly well and all these awards are well deserved.’
