Huddersfield event offers an insight into mental health problemS

A local NHS trust that provides specialist NHS services is inviting people in and around Huddersfield to a series of free talks offering an insight into common mental health problems. A talk on bipolar disorder is taking place at the Hudawi Centre in Huddersfield on Tuesday 1st February.

The educational talks are being held by the South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, which provides mental health and learning disability services to people in Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. Led by Dr Booya, the Trust’s medical director, the events will focus on a particular condition, followed by time for questions. They are free and open to anybody, so feel free to come along with friends, colleagues or family.

The first talk in the series is on bipolar disorder, also known as manic depression. A recent session in Calderdale was very successful with over 100 people attending.
