Jane Baker, physical activity assistant with the team said, “This is just one of many other activities taking place in Barnsley in support of the London. We hope it will give people the opportunity to try out something new and help us create a sporting legacy, as physical activity and social inclusion can make a big difference to a person’s physical and mental wellbeing. It’s not about how fast or how far you run, but taking part in an activity that everyone can enjoy together. The run as well as the other activities are taking part during the Jubilee week to take advantage of the school holiday and national bank holidays to give children and families the opportunity to get involved together.”

All the stages of the run are free and open to everyone. Those wanting to take part must pre-register. To find out more or to book your place contact Jane Baker on 01226 434784 or email jane.baker9@nhs.net.
