Date:

Local people aged over 50 in Wakefield are invited to take part in a scenic walk around Knottingley on Friday 13th July from 10am to 11.30am.

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s health and wellbeing development team have organised the walk to give people the opportunity to find out more about activities and social groups currently being run at local venues in the community.

The walk will start at Knottingley library at 10am and last for approximately one hour. The walk will be led by members of the health and wellbeing development team.

Jackie Sharp, health and wellbeing development worker in Wakefield said, "We have organised the walk to give local people aged 50 or over the opportunity to take part in a gentle form of exercise at the same time as exploring local social groups that they may wish to join. The walk will also make the most of the beautiful scenery around Knottingley."
