Opportunity for Calderdale to help NHS Trust develop its vision and values

Date:

People who use services in Calderdale provided by South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, their carers and local partners are invited to get involved in a unique opportunity to help the Trust create a new vision and set of values.

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides mental health, learning disability and community services in Calderdale.

Local people are invited to join the Trust’s Chief Executive Steven Michael on  Tuesday 23rd October from 1pm to 3pm at Women’s Activity Centre, Francis Street, Halifax HX1 5JY to help shape the Trust’s values for the next 5 years.

Steven Michael explains, “The changes that have taken place at the Trust over the last 12 months, as we have moved from a specialist mental health and learning disability provider to a more generic community health provider, mean we are occupying a new role within local systems. We want to ensure we continue to be the kind of organisation people want us to be, and that we are an effective partner.

“We are working with people who use our services in the populations we serve, their carers, our Members’ Council and staff, to gather a wide range of opinions. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage local people in Calderdale who use our services and their carers to join us on Tuesday 23rd October to share their views on how we can do this.”

Attendance is free but please book a place by contacting the Trust’s inclusion team on 01924 328656 or 01422 281325. Alternatively, email inclusion@swyt.nhs.uk.
