Calderdale and Kirklees staff honoured for long service

Date:

With over 1165 years of NHS service between them, a group of Calderdale and Kirklees staff from South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are to receive their long service awards at an event held on Tuesday 5th November.

The Trust greatly values the contribution of its staff and believes that it is important to formally recognise their achievements and commitments and the Long Service Awards are just one of the ways that it does this.

The group of 46 staff – who have all worked for 25 years and more in the NHS – work at a range of community, mental health and learning disability services across Calderdale and Kirklees.

Among the group is one member of staff who will be collecting their long service award for 40 years or more working for the Trust.

The long serving staff are due to be presented with certificates and gift vouchers at a special event held at The Artworks, Shaw Lane, Halifax, HX3 9ET.

Trust chief executive Steven Michael said, “This event is a great opportunity for our Trust to thank our long serving staff for their remarkable contribution to the NHS. Their hard work and dedication helps to improve the lives of so many people in our local community. I’m delighted to present these awards as a token of the Trust’s appreciation of the commitment and dedication shown by these members of staff.”

The 46 staff receiving their award are among a group of 283 Trust staff receiving their long service awards across Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield, amassing 6176 years service between them.
