NHS Trust enhances IT services to support care

A local NHS Trust has chosen a new provider for their IT services to improve the support it is able to offer people in local communities and to ensure their staff are making the best use of technology.

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SWYPFT) has awarded the contract for the future provision of its IT services to Phoenix IT Managed Services Ltd. The 5 year contract follows a detailed procurement and tendering exercise.

This new partnership between the Trust and Phoenix IT Managed Services Ltd will develop and enhance IT services, improving the support that the Trust is able to offer those who use services, including improving access to self-directed and self-managed care as well as care closer to home. It will also enable staff to use technology to best effect to support a good service user experience.

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of mental health, learning disability and community services to local people in Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield
