The project offers advice on how to eat a healthy balanced diet and gives local people the chance to get involved in activities that aim to improve wellbeing.

Activities on offer range from cooking courses, family food sessions and school-based activities.

Sessions are held at community venues across the north of Barnsley at a variety of times to ensure the groups are as accessible as possible to the local community.

Carrie Fennell is the team leader at the ‘Now You’re Cooking’ project, she said, “This is a great opportunity for people to make small healthy changes to their lifestyle that can have a massive impact on their lives.

“We have lots of different activities that you can get involved in and our friendly team will work with you to help you, your family or colleagues to stay fit and healthy.”
