Make your pledge to quit on No Smoking Day in Sheffield

Date:

Make 11 March your day to quit smoking for good – that’s the message from Yorkshire Smokefree in the run up to No Smoking Day on 11 March.

Yorkshire Smokefree, which is run by South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, offers smokers free support to help you quit, your way.

To help support national No Smoking Day expert advisors from Yorkshire Smokefree are attending a special event organised by the British Heart Foundation on 2 March to encourage local people to pledge to quit on No Smoking Day.

Based at the British Heart Foundation’s furniture shop on Arundel Gate the team from Yorkshire Smokefree will be encouraging people to make 11 March the day they quit smoking by booking an appointment with the team.

Local footballing stars from Sheffield Wednesday will also be on hand at the event encouraging people to make the most of the support on offer.

Yorkshire Smokefree’s tailored support means you can find a way of quitting that suits you. Expert advisors offer online support 24/7, are available on the phone seven days a week and offer face to face support at Yorkshire Smokefree Sheffield’s city centre quit shop.

Claire Holden, service manager at Yorkshire Smokefree Sheffield said, “No Smoking Day is the perfect opportunity for you to set a date to quit smoking. If you’ve been putting off quitting make 11 March your date to quit for good.

“With support from our expert NHS advisors you’re four times more likely to quit successfully and best of all our support is free!”
