Do your bit and make Lindley Dementia friendly

Date:

The Trust is working with Kirklees Dementia Action Alliance and Kirklees Council to support a dementia themed event on Saturday 21st January in Lindley, Huddersfield. This will be a full day of activity based around the village of Lindley, focused on providing support and help to people who suffer from dementia, those who know someone with the condition, or anyone wanting to find out more. The event will link Kirklees organisations involved in dementia support with local community groups, businesses and residents with the aim of making Lindley a dementia friendly community. This would mean that everyone in Lindley is supported to take responsibility for ensuring that people with dementia feel understood, valued and able to contribute to their community.

An agenda for the day is currently being prepared but it is envisaged that Lindley residents, as well as local schools, churches and businesses will take part by providing activities and support for people involved in, or interested in dementia care. If you would like more information or have something you could offer on the day please contact Afsana.Aslam stakeholder engagement & intelligence officer.
