Service user engagement events about older adult’s mental health

Date:

We are transforming our mental health services for older adults to make sure they continue to meet people’s needs, and so that they offer the best care and better outcomes for our service users. We have listened to what service users, carers, partners and staff told us at events last year, and have now developed a proposed model for how we might deliver our community mental health services for older people.

We now want to talk to service users and carers about our proposals and how it might impact on the care we deliver. We are hosting a number of events across our area to which our service users and carers are invited. Please ensure that people are aware of these events and feel free to share the dates with your contacts. The events are:

  • Tuesday 2 May, 10am-12.30pm, in the Hudawi Centre in Huddersfield
  • Thursday 4 May, 1pm – 3.30pm, in the Core in Barnsley
  • Friday 5 May, 10am-12.30pm, in the Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre in Halifax
  • Monday 8 May, 10am – 12.30pm, in the St Swithun’s Community Centre in Wakefield

A light lunch and refreshments will be provided. For more information or to book a place at any of the workshops please either call 07468 702 068 or email opstransform@swyt.nhs.uk.
