Christmas market at Kendray

We had a festive market at Kendray Hospital in Barnsley today (Wednesday 4 December 2019). The event raised £129.60 in aid of our Trust charity EyUp!

Set up in 2017, it supports the work of the Trust; making a difference to the community, mental health, wellbeing and learning disability services.

EyUp! helps our amazing NHS staff to give even more, adding flourishes to services. It’s the sort of stuff our NHS can’t always afford – the bobby dazzler ideas that make a proper difference for those people in our services and local communities.

We had a choir singing traditional Christmas carols to add a special festive atmosphere to the event.

Attendees had the opportunity to have a go at Christmas crafting.

There was also a raffle with some great prizes.

Our infection prevention and control team were among those who popped along on their lunch break.

EyUp! Fundraising manager Jana Harris said: “Thank you to everyone who came along and made this event a success. Remember, we have a German Christmas market at Fieldhead on Wednesday 18 December too!”
