Wakefield COVID-19 antibody research trial

Date:

Wakefield has been selected to take part in an antibody research trial in the global efforts to find a way to prevent COVID-19.

This is an opportunity for those living in the Wakefield District to take part in a research trial in November. Please get involved if you can – every participant who supports the trial is helping us get closer to finding a way to prevent COVID-19.

The trial is being delivered in Wakefield through a partnership – Wakefield Together – which is made up of Spectrum Community Health CIC, Wakefield Council and NHS partners.

Volunteer Criteria

You may be able to take part in this study if you:

  • are 18 years of age or older
  • have not previously tested positive for COVID-19
  • have an increased risk of getting COVID-19 or are less likely than most adults to benefit from a vaccine (due to older age, obesity, or immunosuppression from a health condition or medication).

Additional requirements may also determine final eligibility.
