Trust Staff Celebrated at the Excellence Awards 2022

Date:

Last night, the Trust held their Excellence awards ceremony which celebrated the achievements of our staff and volunteers. Our staff help people fulfil their potential and live well every day. Following a challenging two years, the awards recognised the outstanding work delivered by our staff every day, including our unsung heroes and volunteers who work hard to change people’s lives, and the teams delivering services with care and compassion.

Nominated by colleagues from across the Trust the awards were given against a range of categories, including unsung hero, leader of the year, rising star and team awards for excellence in improving care and health. This year we also included two special awards to recognise outstanding individual and team responses to the pandemic; and two special chair and chief executive’s awards, both of which were awarded for excelling in the field of physical health.

Mark Brooks, the Trust’s chief executive said: “ It is fantastic to see the achievements of staff and volunteers being acknowledged through the awards ceremony. It was a truly inspiring event. Despite the pressures of the Covid-19 pandemic, colleagues have continued to deliver work of an excellent standard. I am hugely grateful to them for their dedication and commitment. As we continue to improve our services, the input of our skilled, compassionate and resilient workforce is central to positive change.”

Marie Burnham, the Trust’s chair said “ Thank you to all Trust staff who have worked so hard throughout the pandemic. Our Trust has a well-earned reputation for being a great place to work and this is largely due to our talented, personable, conscientious staff and volunteers. I am very proud of the award recipients who reflect the Trust’s culture of excellence. Thank you for all that you do to help and inspire others – we are fortunate to have such wonderful role models in our midst.”

The awards were presented online to: Excellence Awards 2022 – South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
