Three staff members and 12 service users formed team #MoveMoreSWYPFTly to take on all 2,277ft of Pen-y-ghent in the Yorkshire Dales, receiving £255 in sponsorship. Pen-y-ghent forms part of the Yorkshire Three Peaks along with Ingleborough and Whernside.

All funds went to EyUp!, a charity set up in 2017 to support the work of South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust; making a difference to community, mental health, wellbeing and learning disability services.

#MoveMoreSWYPFTly is an initiative which encourages staff to think about how they can move more in their working day to promote good health and wellbeing, and encourage healthy habits in the people they care for.

Change and innovation co-ordinator Iffath Hussain said: “We all had a really good day out walking to improve our physical health and do good for charity at the same time. Many of the service users spoke about how physical activity has helped them in their recovery.

“Taking on this challenge gave us all something to focus on and achieve, and we are pleased that we could raise money to support EyUp! along the way.”
