ECT team share international learning at conference in Poland
Our Trust has been represented at an international conference for best practice in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT).

ECT/clozapine clinic manager Clare Gallear was invited to attend the 14th annual EFFECT (European Forum for Electroconvulsive Therapy) conference in Poland.
The conference took place at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 October.
The conference covered education of psychiatrists in ECT and modern evidence-based practice. International colleagues shared research papers on various topics and clinical presentations of work.
Clare also had the opportunity to visit an ECT suite which opened up discussions about similarities and differences between treatment in the UK and in Poland.
Clare said: “The conference was a great learning experience and an opportunity to explore and understand ECT practices across Europe.”
