We’re taking part in the MoreRESPECT study – get involved

Our Trust is participating in a NIHR funded study, MoreRESPECT, which seeks to evaluate the impact of a brief intervention to promote sexual health and positive relationships for people who are under the care of community mental health teams.

Sexual health is an important aspect of health but rarely discussed in mental health. However, people who live with mental health issues have poor sexual health and lack knowledge and awareness of where to get help and support. We aim to empower people with mental health issues to learn more about sexual health and how to get information and support.

The study was developed and designed in collaboration with people with lived experience.

People aged 16 and over, diagnosed with a severe mental illness, and receiving support from community mental health services can take part in the study. More information is available at www.morerespect.co.uk
