Staffing levels

All NHS Trusts are required to publish monthly reports showing the number of nurses and healthcare assistants that work on inpatient wards.

Providing this information is part of our Trust’s commitment to implement the National Quality Boards report ‘How to ensure the right people, with the right skills, are in the right place at the right time’.

This information is also available on NHS website – published alongside other safety indicators that enable members of the public to see how hospitals are performing on this issue.

The report below shows the staffing levels that were planned for each unit and the actual hours worked. This is shown separately for registered nurses and healthcare assistants. It’s also shown separately for day and night shifts.
