Cancelling an appointment

Let us know if you need to cancel any appointment.  This includes clinic appointments, home visits, telephone, video and school appointments .   If a therapist has arranged to see your child in school/nursery, you will  need to let us know if they are absent.   If you do not cancel your appointment, your child will be discharged.

To cancel your child’s appointment,  call us on 01226 644331. If we don’t answer, leave a message and we will call you back.  Alternatively, you can email us at barnsley.speechtherapy@swyt.nhs.uk providing your child’s name and the time and date of the appointment, and a contact number.

There is a high demand for appointments.  If you cancel 2 consecutive appointments or have a pattern of frequent cancellation you will not be offered another appointment and your child may be discharged.
