Margaret Kitching
Non-executive director
Margaret served as regional chief nurse for Yorkshire and Humber at NHS England from 2015 – 2023. During this period, she grew the regional workforce, developed a network of nurse leaders and helped to deliver the Nightingale hospital builds in Harrogate and Sunderland. From 2012-2015, she was director of nursing at NHSE South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw. Margaret has spent much of her extensive NHS career working in the areas and communities served by the Trust and has a very close affinity with it, both from a professional standing as a senior nurse leader and due to personal lived experience as a carer and is an honorary contract holder for her clinical work.
