What a Lady, what a Monarch, What a Commander. what my Queen fetched to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth has been incredible, done with pride as only you would expect of a Sovereign of the nations she represented.
I have fond memories of meeting the Queen when I met her by total luck on her annual horse ride around the great Park in Windsor on Boxing Day when I lived in Berkshire in the 1990’s.

Eleanor Armitage

Thank you for decades of unflinching and steadfast service to your people both here in the UK and the Commonwealth and to the wider world as a whole.

A true constant in my life you served us unreservedly to the end, as you promised over 70 years ago we will miss you RIP.

Susan Stott

Thank you Ma’am for your service, dedication and love for this country, I have only been here for half of your time on the throne. You showed love, compassion, empathy, forgiveness and even hope when we needed it most, and sometimes even when people didn’t deserve it. I have no doubt that the future heirs of the throne, will do you proud. It will be strange to have a King, but you’ve prepared them well and taught not just them, but the whole country what it means to be British.

All my life England has had a Queen, as a child I asked why do we not have a King, why is it, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip. I have always had an interest in the monarchy and I now have an 8-year-old daughter with an even bigger love for the Royal Family but especially for Queen Elizabeth II. Her dream is to visit Buckingham Palace and see the inside (of course), I explained she will have to appreciate London Bridge, the Changing of the Guard and the miniature version in Windsor Castle instead. Young minds run wild, full of hopes and dreams, they are so full of optimism at that age, but that’s the way it should be. Thank you for giving us those thoughts and dreams, they will forever live in her heart.

And although I write this with great sadness, we know you didn’t want to leave, but it’s time to rest now, your Prince and your many pets of the past are waiting for you.

Rest In Peace Ma’am, you will always be remembered in the hearts of our nation.
God Save Our Queen, Queen Elizabeth II – 1926-2022.

Heather Simpson

I was never fortunate enough to meet Her Majesty however, like many people, I felt like I knew her. She has been a constant in my life and I mourn her passing like I have lost a great-grandmother. She was compassionate yet stoic with, by all accounts, a wicked sense of humour! She will be missed across the world, such was her presence felt.
Rest in peace Ma’am xx

The death of the Queen coincides with the anniversary of my grandma and nana dying on the same day (18th September) in 2016 and has evoked a lot of these feelings of loss which I usually feel at this time of year. Whilst I’m not necessarily a Royalist, I have great respect and admiration for the Queen and everything she has sacrificed and done for her country. She dedicated her life to service which is evident by the fact that only a couple of days before her death she was greeting the new Prime Minister at the grand age of 96. She has served her country proudly and with dignity and it is only right that she is given the honour she deserves in mourning her loss. RIP x

Gemma Hall

Your Majesty,
Finding the right words to express my sadness and unwavering respect for you at this sad time is so very difficult, a difficulty I know I am not experiencing alone.
You devoted your life to our country whilst balancing the roles of wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother all whilst being The Queen. You’re an inspiration to us all with the dedication you have shown to serving our country.
Strong, determined, valiant. a leader, kind, compassionate, you personified The United Kingdom for so long, continuing to work right up until the day of your saddening death; there is no other person on this earth that could maintain a career spanning more the seven decades.
May you rest in eternal peace Ma’am, I hope your family and your people continue to serve you well on your final journey to be reunited with your Prince.
Te requiretur in aeternum.
