This group utilises arts and crafts to encourage people experiencing mental health difficulties to engage in activity and express their thoughts and feelings in a creative manner – through art as well as words.
The group undertakes a range of activities and is currently focusing on developing a jewellery making session, using materials such as beads, charms, and chains to create necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
The benefits of attending the arts and crafts group include the opportunity to engage in social interaction, process emotions through artistic mediums and relieve anxieties and tensions through activity.
