The service user may be offered a range of therapeutic interventions, including hydrotherapy and/or swimming. As well as improving physical health and promoting wellbeing, these sessions give service users the opportunity to engage in non-ward, community based activity which some choose to continue following discharge from inpatient services.
Creative Minds funding enabled the purchase of swimwear, towels etc as an essential resource for these interventions. Many service users are not able (for a range of reasons) to purchase their own swimwear, so could not access these interventions without swimwear provision from the organisation.
