The ReVive project is run by Qdos Creates and aims to support people moving on from a time spent in hospital, to the community.
We deliver this project in two phases. As part of phase one, we run weekly creative activity sessions at Kendray hospital, for people experiencing mental health difficulties, who are staying at the Oakwell centre.
Phase two sees us run similar sessions in the community, at the Recovery College in Barnsley. These are run every Friday afternoon, from 1.00pm – 3.00pm at the Exchange.
Through the sessions at Kendray hospital and those at the Recovery college, we aim to support individuals with mental health and wellbeing issues to make the transition from staying in hospital to living in the community.
This small social group makes use of a range of fun activities, led by the ever smiling and friendly Louise. The activities she leads promote communication, creativity, group work skills and mostly wellbeing. The sessions are an opportunity to get to know other people in a small and friendly group situation.
