The project is about providing a safe space, instructional support and mentoring for participants, inspiring creativity by helping people learn how to make art with wood to support mental health. There is a £3.00 participation fee to help cover cost of renewables. £0.50 to cover cost of unlimited tea/coffee and biscuits.
Who is the project for – The sessions are for: People who are LGBTQIA+, older people, working age adults, people with mild dementia, carers/families of people with mental health issues or learning disabilities, people with neurodiversity.
Where is the project – The sessions are held at the Parks Maintenance Depot, where there is a fully equipped woodwork workshop, sheltered from the weather and with the appropriate level of safety conditions.
