Uplift is a programme of special creative days for people living in Barnsley which aim to give people’s wellbeing a boost. The days are organised by artists and can range from small festivals, weekend camps, special workshops and tickets to the cinema and theatre.
Uplift sessions are free and take place in venues across the Barnsley borough. The workshops encourage people to try new things, meet new people and find new ways of feeling good and staying well. After three months of attending Uplift activities, families and individuals are encouraged to make their own Uplift, using the organisation’s philosophy: “Try new things, connect with new people and discover the treasures right on your doorstep.”
