Get involved

We’d love for you to get involved with South West Yorkshire Partnership Teaching NHS Foundation Trust – involving the local community with our Trust is a big priority for us. You could become a member, volunteer with us or get involved with our charity. Please see below some of the activities that we currently offer to our communities to get involved.
We are keen to build relationship with our communities and for us to develop a two way communication of sharing views and feedback to constantly look at how we can improve and develop our services.
Read our ‘Nothing about me, without me’ guide to involving service users, carers and our communities.
The Trust Ladder of Involvement
Involvement means ensuring you have a real say in your healthcare and how services are provided and designed. It is about making informed choices and working together to create better care and experiences for everyone. Your voice always matters, whether in personal care planning or in shaping services for the community.
At the Trust we use a model we call the Ladder of Involvement, which shows the different ways you can work with us.
This includes service users, carers, and people in the community.
- You choose how to take part – everyone is different
- Your needs can change over time and that’s okay
- There is no “right” or “wrong” way to be involved.
- We will support you to take part in the way that works best for you, including different communication styles, access needs, and levels of involvement
