In Kind:In Mind

The Mental Health Museum encourages creative conversations with artists, communities, local groups and organisations, as part of our In Kind:In Mind exhibition programme.

Over the last two years we have had the privilege of working with artists to explore our collection and create new artistic responses to mental health.  This project has been delivered in partnership with Outside with the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the John Ellerman Foundation and the Art Fund.  Explore some of the artworks that have been created from artist research and discoveries at the online exhibition  ‘Another Space Within’.  This includes work by artists researching the collections at Glasgow Museums and the Glenside Hospital Museum in Bristol.  Another Space Within | Outside In

Work by the artists exploring the Mental Health Museum collection will be exhibited in the museum from Summer 2022.  Follow our social media for more updates on this fantastic project!

Through In Kind:In Mind we take on the role of a creative partner and we offer support to artists and groups. We do not charge artists to use our space, and we do not pay artists to exhibit with us.

We offer two temporary exhibitions a year and provide our spaces for pop-up exhibitions.
