Support offered
Our team is made up of psychological therapists, clinical and counselling psychologists and midwives. We offer individual and group support using a virtual platform with options for face to face.
We will provide an assessment for your mental health and find out more about your previous life experiences, presenting difficulties, areas which can worsen your mental health, areas of your life which are supportive of good mental health and any risks. We will find out from you what you feel would be helpful in your access with our service.
We will consider your goals and how that fits with what we can offer within our service. We will discuss any additional needs including physical or sensory, cultural or anything that could help you feel comfortable to access our service. This may include LGBTQ+ appropriate language and pronouns.
We offer virtual appointments or, if needed, at home, in clinics, community and family centres. The appointment will last approximately 60 minutes.
“I had a lot of guilt and low self-worth due to my experience of baby loss. Working with an experienced psychologist was exactly what I needed. We always went at my pace and I was always made to feel very comfortable in sessions. Through this support, I learnt to let go of some of the guilt which helped me to remember my baby and to think of him in a positive light, knowing he will always be part of me. My loss is part of my journey, I am a different person now and Paths helped me accept that. I am so grateful to everyone at Paths – they helped me to see the light again.”
