As the test is only really valid on the day it’s done, how frequently will each person need to be tested?
National guidance is expected from the government regarding the frequency of testing.

Staff testing is available at all four localities. Additionally staff can access home tests via the government website and can attend national testing sites.
What is the Trust position for staff being able to access coronavirus antibody testing?
There is no plan to do antibody testing; neither does any other organisation have this yet.
If a staff member tests negative but they still have a cough etc should they come back to work?
Staff can come back to work with a cough if they feel well enough to do so. If they are too ill to return the normal sickness reporting applies and they can self-certify for 7 days – after that they will need a fit note …
What is happening to the information we are sharing with partner organisations?
Personal details are not given out. Information is being shared with GPs to record on medical records of staff who are their patients. Information is not being shared with the CCG or Public Health unless necessary.
Do staff who test positive and remain off work with symptoms for a number of weeks require a fit note from their GP?
Staff should try to get a fit note from their GP; but it is understood that in some instances this may not be possible and they remain on special leave.
How quickly do results come back from a test?
Currently the results are being received between 24 and 72 hours after the test has been undertaken.

All staff will be offered a test. There are three priority strands: Group one are the highest priority. These are colleagues those who have symptoms themselves, and also those living in a household where someone has symptoms. These are carried out at Barnsley, Fieldhead, Calderdale …

If a test comes back positive do you then contact trace and test family and staff that the person has had contact with?
The current test matrix is for staff only. Family members can be tested through the national routes.
