Art for health and wellbeing access fund

Please note: During the pandemic, Artworks are making printed workbooks full of creative activities that can be done at home. The workbooks will also have information about support, guidance and ways to connect and engage with essential services and others.

What’s it about?

Artworks is an art school, gallery and artist studios committed to providing opportunity and engagement with art for all ages and abilities.

Their community of emerging and established artists help them to deliver a wide range of exciting programmes at the forefront of creative practice.

By combining classic techniques with inspirational approaches, they have the joy of witnessing first-hand the transformational effects of art on people’s lives.

The art for health and wellbeing access fund has been made possible thanks to funding from Creative Minds and Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Group. The fund will be used to supply free access to Artworks activities for anyone with lived experience of mental ill health.

Who’s it for?

Open to all Trust service users and others with lived experience of mental health issues.

When?

January 2019 – January 2020.

Where?

Artworks, Shaw Lane, Halifax, HX3 9ET.
