What’s it about?
Men Friday, ‘Men’s Shed’ is a community group which is a place of skill-sharing and informal learning, of individual pursuits and community projects, of purpose, achievement and social interaction. We welcome any men who are living with mental or physical ill health, social isolation or in recovery from addictions. If there is a need for peer support and to keep busy, Men’s shed can offer this. Our activity focus is on gardening, bike maintenance and up-cycling. Alternative activities include pool and darts. The men play an important role in making decisions about the group’s activities.

What happens next?
We will call you for a chat as soon as possible about the group and invite you to the next session. On arrival you’ll be shown around the community space, meet the other guys and find out what you can get involved with. If you decide to come along for the next session, you’ll be asked to complete a simple self–referral form or if referred in by a professional you can also complete a referral form to become a member. Support for this will be provided if needed.
Lunch is provided at a £1 donation, however, you can also bring your own lunch if you wish.
