The Super Natural Pots project is led by Holme Valley Sharing Memories a group of elderly people in their 70s, 80s and 90s. The group worked with service users at Enfield Down, a unit providing rehabilitation and recovery services for people experiencing mental health problems.
The project explores the use of clay to create tile pictures and wrap pots, inspired by elements of nature and the landscape. The project encourages participants to try a new activity and allows them to interact with other people, boosting their social skills and self-esteem. The project also gives service users the chance to see their work displayed at various exhibitions in their local area before keeping them as a memory of something they have worked to create.
