How our general self-management course has helped local people

We have helped transform the lives of hundreds of people to date. All these people had a range of ongoing illnesses or conditions but they all had one thing in common – they wanted to control their condition, not let their condition control them.

We were privileged to hear some of their stories and are delighted to now share them with the hope of inspiring confidence;  showing you what a difference a self-management course course can make.  Please let us know what you think of these films.

Ex-nurse Janet has managed her type 1 diabetes for over 30 years but a more recent diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) saw her turn to EPP for new tools and techniques to cope.

Tonsil cancer didn’t stop Paul from leading an active life; he’s just had to redefine the way he does it. EPP gave him additional tools to cope with the challenges his treatment brought.

Two heart attacks shocked vicar Paul and led to anxiety and a lack of confidence. EPP bought back that confidence and a spark for life, alongside the desire to help other people.

Lynn found EPP invaluable when dealing with her thyroid problems and diabetes. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer she drew on her EPP knowledge to get her through the treatment.

A diagnosis of type 2 diabetes led to depression for Paul. But EPP not only improved his general health and increased his confidence but also led to him volunteering, to help others.
