Patient Records

Patient records, and related patient documents from the West Riding Pauper Lunatic Asylum and Stanley Royd Hospital, are not held onsite at the museum.

All patient records are held by West Yorkshire Archives Service, at the West Yorkshire History Centre, 127 Kirkgate, Wakefield, WF1 1JG.

Records over 100 years old can be accessed by the public on an appointment basis. You can also view the full digitised catalogue online.
