Celebrating our nurses on international nurses day 2024

Date:

12 May 2024 is international nurses day. We would like to say a big thank you to all our nurses who do incredible work in caring for our service users every day.

We have over 1,000 fantastic nurses in our Trust who work across community, mental health and learning disability services. Thank you for everything you do!

Take a look below at some of the reasons why people love being a nurse, and what some of our nurse leaders say about our wonderful teams.

Here is what some of our staff say about why they love nursing:

A graphic of a nurse with the words - I would like to say a personal thank you for your commitment to the people you support. Every day I witness a workforce who demonstrate resilience, compassion, dedication, innovation, and patient centred care, which makes a difference to the individual's recovery, Your passion to our patients health is equally appreciated. Emma. A graphic of a nurse along with the text - on this international nurses day, I want to recognise and celebrate the incredible work that nurses around the world do every single day to provide high quality care to patients. Having just attended the European wound management association conference, I am inspired by the dedication and expertise of my fellow nurses, especially in the field of wound care and tissue viability. I am proud to be part of such a dynamic and passionate profession. Thank you to all the nurses who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of so many. Laura.

Thank you to our nurses in the Barnsley physical health and wellbeing care group for these lovely photos!
