About us

We are a specialist NHS Foundation Trust that provides community, mental health and learning disability services to the people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. We also provide some medium secure (forensic) services to the whole of Yorkshire and the Humber.

Being a foundation trust means we’re accountable to our members, who can have a say in how we’re run and how they’d like our services to be developed. Around 14,300 local people (including our staff) are members of our Trust. Find out more about becoming a member.

We work from a variety of sites as well as with people in their own homes. Take a look at how to reach our sites.

We employ more than 4,200 staff, in both clinical and non-clinical support services. If you would like to join our team and work for us, take a look at our recruitment section.

You can find out more about our Trust and the services we provide in each of our areas in this booklet.
