Take a look at who has been recognised as a Covid Hero with a first name that begins with D:

Daniella Sanders, social worker in the Kirklees intensive home based treatment team

Debbie Hemingway, CPN in the Kirklees intensive home based treatment team

“Worked throughout the Covid 19 pandemic maintaining a frontline service and providing face to face interventions and visits.”

Deborah Gough, records team

“Deborah has worked throughout the pandemic to ensure that Trust clinical staff and patients had access to their medical records. Thank you, Deborah!”

Debra Thompson, Secretary

“Debbie has worked through the pandemic as a valuable member of the CAMHS reception/admin team.

“Even when majority of the clinicians were working remotely, Debbie was in base and continued to provide high standard of care in managing the phone lines, coordinating prescriptions, signposting anxious parents and supporting wider team members.

“Debbie is always seen to be a willing worker, compassionate colleague, positive influence on those around her, a thoughtful person and competent in all her work. All of this makes her a valuable member of the CAMHS team and certainly a Covid Hero!

“We are proud and lucky to have her among us and this is a thank you for all her hard work and support.”

Diane Harrison, health care assistant

“Diane is a hero within Crofton Ward at any time, however, during Covid has more than proved her worth. She has not had any days off and has picked up a high volume of shifts to help the ward to be able to provide a safe and quality service.

“Diane has been at the forefront of the most recent outbreak, volunteering to swab all the patients even though knowing how high risk this was.

“Diane encompasses the trusts values and Crofton Ward are incredibly lucky to have such a great team of staff all of which have the utmost respect for her commitment to her job and providing the best care possible at the most difficult of times.”

Diane Ormston, pharmacy technician

“Diane is a Covid hero because despite having to shield (very much against her will) she was an absolute superstar in supporting the Barnsley pharmacy team from home.

“She picked up all the work that could be done remotely which freed up time for the rest of the team to do the work on the wards.

“We couldn’t have done it without her!”

Diane Townend, Interim assistant director of HR

“Has shown untiring dedication, loyalty and significant patience, even with the ever changing National picture, throughout the pandemic. An ever open door, while leading on policy development and processes, and ensuring the best interests of staff and the organisation were always considered.”

Dianne Broadbent, team secretary

“Dianne has been the one constant person for the mental health liason team team throughout the pandemic.

“She always has a smile or a “how are you?” for staff and has provided a listening ear for the team whenever liaison staff have been coming back from either A&E or a ward area where they may have been in close proximity to covid cases.

“She’ll always make sure we’ve got water to drink and that we’ve eaten and taken care of our own needs. She’s been fantastic in keeping the team going.”
