Our Members’ Council is made up of elected representatives of members and also nominated members from key local partner organisations.
The Council’s role is to make sure that the board of directors, which retains responsibility for the day to day running of the Trust, is accountable to the local community.
They also oversee the running of the Trust and help us shape future strategy as well as play a role in issues such as communications, diversity and involvement.
The election process for vacancies on our Members’ Council began on Monday 11 February 2013 when we were seeking nominations from members to fill the following seats.
- Barnsley – 1 seat
- Calderdale – 3 seats
- Kirklees – 2 seats
- Wakefield – 2 seats
We were also seeking nominations for one staff seat for social care staff working in integrated teams.
The closing date for nominations was noon on Monday 11 March 2013.
Members will have received their ballot papers and are encouraged to cast their vote now. Voting will close at noon on 29 April 2013.
